Recruiting for the University and College Entrance Programs and the Learning Foundations Program begins in February. The steps for Admissions are provided below:

Step 1: Call 780-413-7800 or fill-out this online form to book a seat for an Information and Testing Session. There is no fee to attend this session.

Step 2: - Attend an Information and Testing Session and complete the Placement Tests in English and Math. The placement testing is conducted to ensure that students are placed in a program that corresponds with their skill level. (Please note that applicants whose first language is other than English may be required to provide a Canadian Language Benchmark test score of Level 5).

A Take Home Package will include the following assignments:

      • Career Investigation Report
      • Hand-written essay
      • Transcripts/Statement of Marks of previous education
      • Resume

You will receive a phone call from the UCEP Office to discuss your placement test results. If your test scores meet the entrance requirements, an interview with the UCEP Service Coordinator will be arranged at this time.

The Application for Admission to the program is provided to prospective students during the Information Session or you may fill-out and print the form here and bring it to the session.

Step 3: Attend the interview to discuss your previous education and work experiences, career goals, and post-secondary plans. The results of the interview will be used to determine what courses you require to pursue your educational and career goals. If all program requirements are met, acceptance into the appropriate program will be approved. Funding applications may be completed and submitted at this time. (Remember to bring the completed Take Home Assignments with you to this interview).

Step 4: Registration takes place in August and classes begin in September.
